Lightfest Service Project & Fundraiser

Saturday, November 24th and Sunday, December 2nd, 2018

Most of you are familiar with the Space Coast Lightfest at Wickham Park with Holiday themed light displays of over 3 million lights, Santa, and Hayrides.  Well, this year Troop 337 and Pack 337 will be running the event itself plus running a concessions tand on the following two nights:
  • Saturday, November 24th - CAR NIGHT $15/Car or $5/person for hay rides - Drive around unlimited number of times, visit a Santa Village, go on a hayride, enjoy concession, and visit Santa!

  • Sunday, December 2nd - STROLL NIGHT (no Cars) - $5/Person - Includes entertainment, kids activities, horseback rides, bounce houses, Santa Visits, Vendors, Crafts, and lots and lots of yummy food!

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS? - First of all, it is a service project.  By doing this, we are bringing lots of joy to families in our community during this Christmas Season.  Secondly, it is a fundraiser for the Troop and Pack. 

As much as we'd like Cub Scouts to be a part... there is parking, dealing with money, handling food, loading and unloading people on/off of hayrides and it's long (5:15-10:30pm).   None of this is age-appropriate for Cub Scout aged kids.   HOWEVER, we VERY MUCH need the help of adults. Please do not bring any children with you if you are helping.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?   There are three ways you can help:

  1. Help Run It
  2. Donate Baked Goods to our Concession
  3. Help Advertise

Parents, please SIGN UP HERE  (or scroll down) if you are able to help.  Note:  We almost have things covered on Sunday, December 2nd, we mostly need help on Saturday, November 24th.  If you don't have a preference or know what the stations are, just put "Willing to Work" on everything.

A good part of the fundraising aspect of the event is our Homemade and Quality Baked Goods sale (and hot chocolate).  We ask that all Pack families donate at least one home made or quality purchased baked goods.   Please CLICK HERE to indicate what you will bring and how you will deliver it.  Look at the email from Marie Higbie for Details.

In order to receive our full commission, we have to distribute via blog & facebook to large groups, and place signs and coupons in storefronts.  If you can help with any of these, please do.   The fliers and coupons are at the bottom of this page, or see previous Pack email.
